The 2015 Annual School Law Conference presented by the Nassau and Suffolk Academies of Law and the Education Law Committees of the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations took place at the Nassau County Bar Association on Monday, December 14, 2015:
Richard K. Zuckerman, Esq. presented on a panel in a program entitled “Impact of the Taylor Law: Distance Learning; Joint Ventures between School Districts; Transfer of Functions to BOCES; Shared Services;”
Sharon N. Berlin, Esq. was the moderator of a panel in a program entitled “Probationary Teachers and Administrators: Jarema Credit; Juul Agreements; Appointments; Early Grants of Tenure;”
Douglas E. Libby, Esq. was the moderator of a panel in a program entitled “Student Admission and Placement: Residency; Immunizations; English Language Learners;” and
Mara N. Harvey, Esq. was the moderator of a panel in a program entitled “School Finances: Budgeting; Auditing and the Fiscal Tax Cap.” Mara N. Harvey, Esq. also participated as a Program Co-Chair.
