December 01, 2014 Scott M. Karson: NYSBA calls for Mandatory Pro Bono Reporting on an Anonymous Basis Only and More
Scott M. Karson authored an article which reported on the New York State Bar Association fall meeting held in Albany, New York from October 30 – November 1, 2014. The article, which appeared in the December 2014 issue of The Suffolk Lawyer, the newspaper of the Suffolk County Bar Association, included a report on the resolution which will, hopefully, resolve the ongoing debate between the New York State Bar Association and New York State Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman concerning the rule requiring New York lawyers to report on the number of pro bono hours performed annually, and the amount of financial contributions made to legal service organizations annually. Mr. Karson attended the meeting in his capacity as Vice President of the New York State Bar Association for the Tenth Judicial District and as member of the the NYSBA Executive Committee and House of Delegates.
