Robert H. Cohen received both his undergraduate degree (magna cum laude) and his law degree (with distinction) from Hofstra University. As an undergraduate, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. In law school, he was an associate editor of the Law Review. Following graduation, Mr. Cohen joined our firm as an associate and has spent his entire career here. He concentrates his practice in education, library and municipal law. Mr. Cohen is a past President of the New York State Association of School Attorneys and a past co-chair of the Suffolk County Bar Association’s Education Law Committee. Mr. Cohen was selected to appear in the New York Super Lawyers® Metro Edition in the areas of schools and education and general litigation from 2020-2022. Mr. Cohen has been a panel member and lecturer on education and employment law issues for the New York State Association of School Attorneys, the Nassau and Suffolk Academies of Law and the Long Island Association of Special Education Administrators. He has conducted numerous seminars and workshops on issues concerning public libraries and schools.
