Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Reminder

Workplace Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Reminder

KEEPING YOU INFORMED…

We are writing to remind you to complete your annual New York State workplace sexual harassment training(s), which is required to be conducted for all employees (including, but not limited to, temporary employees and seasonal employees). The training must meet or exceed the minimum training standards set by the State and need not be done on a specific date, as long as each employee is trained at least once per year. The State, however, continues to recommend that all new employees receive this training as soon as possible.

As State laws addressing sexual harassment in the workplace, as well as those addressing other forms of unlawful harassment and discrimination, have been evolving over the past year, it is important to review and continue to update your related policies and trainings.

If you would like assistance with reviewing, updating or customizing your workplace sexual harassment prevention policy or any other policy(ies) addressing unlawful harassment and discrimination, or with conducting the related training(s), please contact Sharon N. Berlin, Alyson Mathews, Alyssa L. Zuckerman or one of our other attorneys at 631-694-2300.

THIS MEMORANDUM IS MEANT TO ASSIST IN GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE CURRENT LAW. IT IS NOT TO BE REGARDED AS LEGAL ADVICE. THOSE WITH PARTICULAR QUESTIONS SHOULD SEEK THE ADVICE OF COUNSEL.
