Expiration of the COVID-19-Related Executive Orders

Expiration of the COVID-19-Related Executive Orders

KEEPING YOU INFORMED…

As expected, the Governor issued an Executive Order[1] rescinding Executive Orders 202 through 202.111 (COVID-19-related suspensions and modifications of law) and 205 through 205.3 (quarantine restrictions on travelers arriving in New York) effective Friday, June 25, 2021. The Governor’s formal rescission of Executive Orders 202 through 202.111 confirms our belief that the orders would not continue to be effective beginning on June 25, 2021 (see our June 24 memorandum).

The CDC’s mask guidance for unvaccinated individuals, however, remains in effect.

If you have questions regarding the Governor’s rescission of the COVID-19-related executive orders, please contact Lauren Schnitzer or one of our other attorneys by calling (631) 694-2300.

THIS MEMORANDUM IS MEANT TO ASSIST IN GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE CURRENT LAW. IT IS NOT TO BE REGARDED AS LEGAL ADVICE. THOSE WITH PARTICULAR QUESTIONS SHOULD SEEK THE ADVICE OF COUNSEL.
