Continuation of the Authority to Hold Remote Public Meetings

KEEPING YOU INFORMED…

As a follow up to our February 11, 2022 client memorandum, we are writing to advise you that Governor Hochul has issued an executive order continuing the current COVID-19 State disaster emergency through March 16, 2022.

As a result, the authority to conduct remote public meetings will continue, uninterrupted, through March 16, 2022. We will let you know if the Governor extends the disaster emergency beyond that date. If not, the authority to conduct remote public meetings will terminate as of March 17, 2022.

If you have any questions regarding remote public meetings, please contact Lindsay Crocker, Lauren Schnitzer or one of our other attorneys by calling (631) 694-2300.

THIS MEMORANDUM IS MEANT TO ASSIST IN GENERAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE CURRENT LAW. IT IS NOT TO BE REGARDED AS LEGAL ADVICE. THOSE WITH PARTICULAR QUESTIONS SHOULD SEEK THE ADVICE OF COUNSEL.
