We are writing to notify you that the New York State Commissioner of Health has issued a determination on COVID-19 testing for school staff and students. A copy is available here: Commissioner’s Determination on COVID-19 Testing.
We have been advised that the local health departments will be responsible for enforcing the Commissioner’s determination and for establishing the timeframe for implementing the testing requirements. The timeframe will be based upon, among other things, the availability of COVID-19 tests.
