Matthew J. Mehnert graduated (cum laude) from the Hofstra University School of Law in 2004 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Colgate University in 2001. Mr. Mehnert served as a Notes & Comments Editor for the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal and received both the Jonathan Falk Memorial Scholarship and Citation of Excellence in Labor & Employment Law Courses.
Mr. Mehnert has previously represented employers, both public and private, in matters before the EEOC, SDHR, NYCHRC, NLRB and the DOL. He has appeared on behalf of employers before various state and federal courts during all phases of litigation, including trial, and has authored appeals before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuit, the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court for the Second Judicial Department and the National Labor Relations Board.
