Joshua S. Sprague represents clients in all facets of civil litigation in both federal and state courts. Mr. Sprague has extensive experience in both affirmative and defensive litigation, as well as regulatory matters.
Immediately prior to joining Lamb & Barnosky, Mr. Sprague was an Assistant Attorney General in the Office of the New York State Attorney General, where he conducted investigations and commenced civil litigation on behalf of New York State. Before his time in government, Mr. Sprague worked for two prominent law firms in New York City where he focused on complex commercial litigation, defending companies and financial institutions in a wide range of cases, including contract disputes, enforcement of letters of credit, securities transactions and shareholder lawsuits.
Mr. Sprague received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2007 and his undergraduate magna cum laude from The College of New Jersey in 2004. While at Fordham University School of Law, Mr. Sprague was a finalist in the 2006 Cardozo/BMI National Entertainment and Communications Moot Court Competition and a Competition Editor on the 2007 Fordham Moot Court Board.
Mr. Sprague is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of New York, and in the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
