Matthew J. Mehnert graduated cum laude from the Hofstra University School of Law in 2004 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Colgate University in 2001. Mr. Mehnert served as a Notes & Comments Editor for the Hofstra University Labor & Employment Law Journal and received both the Jonathan Falk Memorial Scholarship and Citation of Excellence in Labor & Employment Law Courses.
Matthew has previously represented employers, both public and private, in matters before the EEOC, SDHR, NYCHRC, NLRB and the DOL. He has appeared on behalf of employers, before various state and federal courts during all phases of litigation, including trial, and has authored appeals before the Second and Third Circuit Courts of Appeals, the Second Department and the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. Mehnert works in our litigation as well as education, labor and municipal law departments.
